The Cowboys hit the practice field for the first time on Thursday, and are currently scheduled for 17 practice days during their time in Oxnard.
For the first time since the team has come to Oxnard for training camp, they will practice on three different weekends. That is a result of the team playing its first preseason game Aug. 7 at San Diego.
During the last few days of camp the team will share its practice fields with the Oakland Raiders. The River Ridge fields were actually built for the Raiders when the team played its games in Los Angeles. The two teams will scrimmage on Aug. 12 and Aug. 13. The Aug. 12 practice starts at 3:45 and the Aug. 13 practice will be at 10:30 a.m.
The Cowboys will break camp Aug. 15, for a flight back to Dallas for their second game of the preseason, against the Baltimore Ravens at AT&T Stadium
