(KGTV) — Athletes across the world of sports honored Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant and his daughter, Gianna, on what would have been the basketball icon's 42nd birthday.
From basketball to baseball to football, athletes were spotted working out in Lakers gear and honoring Bryant on Sunday.
Several NBA players honored Bryant on social media, tweeting photos and videos in remembrance of Kobe. Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum wore a purple armband in honor of Bryant during the team's matchup with the Philadelphia 76ers.
In baseball, the Los Angeles Dodgers planned a pregame ceremony to honor Kobe and Gianna. Relief pitcher Kenley Jansen could be seen warming up ahead of the game wearing a Bryant jersey.
Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce sported a Kobe Bryant Lower Merion High School jersey as he took the field during practice on Sunday.
