SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A popular sports talk radio show is returning to San Diego airwaves in June.
The San Diego Padres’ flagship station, 97.3 The Fan, will begin airing the "Ben and Woods" show starting June 10.
The team, consisting of 10News Sports Director Ben Higgins, co-host Steven Woods and producer Paul Reindl, will fill the 5 a.m.-9 a.m. time slot on the local FM station.
"Woods is just outrageously fun. I get to laugh and talk sports every morning, and now I get to do it on the FM flagship station of the Padres. Plus, I get to continue working with the most amazing news team in San Diego every evening on 10News. Who wouldn’t love that job?" Ben said.

Ben and Woods had gained a large following since their morning show debuted in March 2018 on the Mighty 1090.
However, within the last month, the Mighty 1090 went off the air, and then ultimately ceased operations after having been a San Diego radio staple for many years.
As the Ben and Woods show makes its way to 97.3 The Fan, there is no immediate word on the future of Mighty 1090’s other popular shows -- The Darren Smith Show and the Scott & BR Show.
