SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Something was bugging the San Diego Padres Saturday during their home game against the Colorado Rockies at Petco Park.
The team’s beach hat promotion misfired when officials discovered grain beetles in the packaging.
“Grain beetles pose no health risks to humans, but we decided to act out of an abundance of caution,” the Padres posted on twitter.
Fans who had been given hats were asked to return them for a voucher, according to the Padres.
