SAN DIEGO - (KGTV)
The best junior golfers in the world are in San Diego for the annual IMG World Golf Championship. The golfers range in age from six to 18 years old, and play at eight different courses around San Diego.
The 6-Under division plays at the Colina Park golf course, and that's where you'll find players who are just getting started in the sport. It's also where you'll find players with a lot of personality, like 6-year old Beck Patrick from Charlotte, North Carolina.
Beck has been playing golf since he was two, and plays with a lot of confidence.
"I think I'm better than Dustin Johnson, and I have the confidence of Tiger Woods."
Beck's dad Jason, who is the caddy, says he lets Beck pick his own clubs, and read his own putts, because Beck pretty much knows what he wants to do.
Beck, who is playing in the ING World Championship for the first time, says he really only needs to work on his putting.
"If I can putt like a pro I can win every tour."
Beck is one of 56 golfers playing in the IMG World Championship, and expects to play very well.
"I think I'm going to finish first."
Beck didn't finish first, but not bad for his first time playing in the IMG World Championship, as he went home with a sixth place finish.
