LA JOLLA, Calif. (KGTV) -- Crowds of people arrived at the famed Torrey Pines Golf Course to see golf star Tiger Woods in action as he prepares for this week’s Farmers Insurance Open.
Woods teed off for the event’s Pro-Am just before 7 a.m. Wednesday, but not far from him was San Diego native Phil Mickelson.
But many in the crowd came out early to get a glimpse of Tiger, including young fan Lucas Campbell. Lucas arrived at the event with a lucky Sharpie in his hand with a mission he’s been working on for three years.

Campbell said, “I want to try and get Tiger’s signature today because I haven’t gotten him before.”
One fan named Jaden came to the Pro-Am just to see the players do their thing, though he had his fingers crossed that he could also take home a nice souvenir since Wednesday happens to be his birthday.
