Four of the five starters on the San Diego Chargers' offensive line missed practice Friday because of injuries.
The status for Sunday's game against the Cleveland Browns remains murky for most of them.
Left guard Orlando Franklin (right ankle) is out. King Dunlap (concussion) and center Chris Watt (groin) are doubtful. Right guard D.J. Fluker (left ankle) is listed as questionable.
That means a lot of backups could be protecting quarterback Philip Rivers, who has already been sacked 10 times.
"I got all the confidence in the world of our entire 53 (players)," coach Mike McCoy said. "We're not going to skip a beat."
The Chargers could elevate guard/tackle Michael Ola from the practice squad to add depth. They signed center J.D. Walton and tackle Tyreek Burwell on Tuesday.
