SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - The man who lured a 12-year-old Solana Beach girl away from her school to have sex with her was sentenced Monday.

Jeff Calica, 20, received a three-year stayed prison sentence in court Monday.

Calica pleaded guilty to lewd and lascivious acts with a minor.

The girl’s parents filed a lawsuit, claiming Calica reached out to the girl on Google Chat after she met him through his YouTube channel.

Attorney Steve Estey, hired by the girl’s parents, said Calica had sex with the girl at least twice during lunch periods at Earl Warren Middle School.

A letter from the girl's mother was read in court.  In it, she told of how "the innocence is gone" and "a tailspin of depression, isolation, and bitterness."
