SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A woman was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving late Sunday evening after crashing her SUV into several parked vehicles and a Bay Park home.
The crash happened at around 11:50 p.m. on Denver Street, near Milton Street, according to San Diego police.
A resident told 10News she woke up to the sound of her parked vehicle being hit by an SUV. She then watched as the SUV continued down Denver Street and hit at least five other vehicles and a fence.
The resident said the female driver made a U-turn into the opposite direction but jumped a sidewalk, hit a tree and struck part of a house before coming to rest.
According to the resident, the driver got out of the SUV and yelled “I’m sorry” multiple times as other neighbors responded to the commotion.
Several neighbors surrounded the woman before officers arrived to prevent her from running away.
Officers evaluated the 20-year-old driver, and she was arrested after undergoing field sobriety tests.
No injuries were reported.
