CORONADO, Calif. (KGTV) - A pregnant woman in labor could not quite make it to the hospital early Monday morning and gave birth in the backseat of a pickup truck along a Coronado street.
At about 1:45 a.m., Coronado police received a 911 call from a couple saying a baby was born in their truck in the 400 block of Palm Avenue.
Emergency crews arrived to find the baby had been delivered with the help of the father.
The child and mother were transported to the hospital to be evaluated.
