(KGTV) -- A fire in the Riverside County city of Norco that prompted mandatory evacuations was 35 percent contained Wednesday morning.

The so-called Mann Fire erupted Tuesday at around 9:50 a.m. in the Santa Ana river bottom, near Interstate 15, according to Cal Fire Riverside.

The blaze forced officials to issue mandatory evacuation orders for nearby residents and businesses as crews responded.

The evacuation orders remained in effect overnight, but Cal Fire officials said all orders were lifted by 8:15 a.m.

As of 6 a.m., the Mann Fire was at 35 percent contained and burned 175 acres.
