DEL MAR, Calif. (KGTV) -- Measure G is heading to the ballot for voters to decide on March 3.

The measure would allow for the development of a luxury resort called Marisol on the bluffs along 3350 Camino Del Mar.

The Marisol site plan involves a 65-room hotel that would include 31 villas and also feature dining and cocktail lounges.

There is also a plan to build 22 affordable housing units along with 10 low-cost hotel rooms.

The proposal is an alternative to an already-approved plan to build gated estates along the property.

A “yes” vote supports adopting the Marisol Specific Plan, a land use plan that replaces residential zoning, according to Ballotpedia.

If a majority of voters vote “no” the existing zoning would remain and future development would be subject to the existing single family zoning regulations.
