SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A broken water main sent water flowing down a Mission Hills-area street Wednesday morning, flooding at least one home in the process.

The 8-inch main break was reported at 3:45 a.m. on Fort Stockton Drive, at Jackdaw Street. It was shut down about 5 a.m.

One resident told 10News water made its way into her home, but sandbags surrounding her home helped keep most of the water out.

The woman said she put the sandbags in place during the last storm and never bothered to remove them.

20 customers don't have water service. The City brought in a water wagon for supplies.

Crews estimate repairs to the broken main will be finished this afternoon.
