(KGTV) - A tour bus reportedly on its way to visit Mayan ruins crashed on a roadway in eastern Mexico Tuesday, killing at least 12 people and injuring 18 others.
ABC News, citing a Mexican official, reported seven Americans were among those injured in the crash that happened at about 10 a.m. local time in the Yucatan Peninsula.
There were 31 people on the bus, CNN reported. 27 of them were passengers on two Royal Caribbean cruise ships, the Serenade of the Seas and the Celebrity Equinox.

The cause of the crash has not been determined.
