Police are searching for a truck that hit a 2-year-old boy in the East Village and left the scene.
The incident happened just before 6:30 p.m. near 13th St. and Imperial Ave., according to San Diego police.
Police said the young boy was walking in a parking lot when a red pickup truck hit him.
Witnesses tried to get the truck to stop, with one person even throwing an object at one of the truck's windows and breaking it.
10News learned another person jumped into the bed of the truck, but the truck drove away on 13th St.
The person who jumped into the truck suffered a minor injury after getting out at H St.
The child did not have any visible injuries, according to police.
A description of the truck was not immediately available.
