ESCONDIDO, Calif. (KGTV) - A man suspected of driving a stolen truck led police on a high-speed pursuit in Escondido early Monday morning, but he was eventually arrested after crashing in front of a home.
Escondido police said officers spotted a stolen truck near El Norte Parkway at around 2 a.m. and tried to pull it over, but the driver sped away.
Officers pursued the truck on various surface streets before it entered a cul-de-sac on Veronica Place.
The speeding truck then crashed into the front of a home, striking where the living room was located. No damage was reported inside and no one from in the house was hurt.
The driver, who was arrested, suffered a minor injury and was taken to the hospital for examination.
A woman in the passenger seat was detained for questioning.
10News learned a building inspector will check the structural integrity of the home.
