LOS ANGELES (KGTV) -- As the world mourns the loss of basketball legend Kobe Bryant, 10News is taking a look back at his life and NBA career.
Bryant was drafted into the NBA straight out of high school and played his first game just months after turning 18.
After one of the single greatest NBA careers of all time, Bryant decided to retire in 2016, but he wasn't finished working. In 2018, Bryant went on to win an Academy Award for an animated short he both wrote and voiced.
