LA JOLLA, Calif. - San Diego police sought Thursday any witnesses who can help lead them to a young man who disappeared from La Jolla Cove on Christmas Eve.

Jeremy Howard, 19, was last seen at La Jolla Cove in the early morning hours of Dec. 24, according to a San Diego police statement.

Howard is white, 6 feet 4 or 6 feet 5 and 175 to 180 pounds with short dark brown hair cut in a tapered line-up style, brown eyes and little to no facial hair. He was last seen wearing a maroon shirt, black sweat pants and no shoes. He has a tattoo on his right forearm of a cross with "faith" written on top. He also has the name "Rashia" tattooed on his left forearm.

Authorities said there may have been a witness present around the same time the teen went missing. The witness was described as an older white man, about 5 feet 7 and 150 pounds with short, straight white hair. He had a small, white fluffy dog and was driving a white "box-type" Ford Explorer, according to police.

Anyone with information about Howard's whereabouts was asked to call police at (619) 531-2000.
