SAN DIEGO -- A 17-year-old boy suspected in at least five assaults targeting women walking near the U.S.-Mexico border was arrested Wednesday, San Diego police reported.
The boy, whose name was withheld because he is a juvenile, is suspected of attacking women from behind and trying to pull down their pants or lift their skirts several times between mid-December and Monday.
Four attacks were reported between Dec. 14 and 20, and the most recent happened Monday, according to San Diego police Lt. Erneso Servin.
Anyone who may have been a victim or who witnessed an assault was asked to contact the San Diego Police Department at 619-531-2000.
