SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A 15-year-old boy accused of posting a threat of a shooting at Fallbrook High School on social media was arrested.
On Sunday, at about 6 p.m., sheriff's officials said the teen posted "a picture of a handgun and a warning to not attend school the following morning."
Deputies worked with Fallbrook High School officials to identify and locate the boy, and he was arrested at his home later in the evening.
According to sheriff's officials, the boy said the post "was only meant as a joke."
Sheriff's officials said the incident was isolated and "no other subject or students were involved."
Fallbrook High's Monday class schedule was not affected, officials said.
