Dad: Installer told my son how to make a bomb

Posted

SAN DIEGO - A local man who was hoping to get new blinds for his home, found himself filing a police report instead.

Javier Hernandez purchased new blinds from a local Home Depot and was told the blinds would "black out" onlookers who walked past their home. A third party was hired by the store to come out and install the blinds.

But none of that went to plan.

Hernandez said the blinds did not prevent anyone from seeing into his home and the person sent to install the blinds ended up giving unsolicited advice on bomb making to his son.

Team 10's Adam Racusin spoke with the father about the situation and what Home Depot had to say about the incident.
