SAN DIEGO – A Talmadge woman who paid more than $1,000 several months ago to a repair shop to get her truck fixed still has no truck.
Joanne brought her 1988 Dodge truck to Charles Auto Repair when it started acting up. She said the owner told her to pay $1,450 dollars to replace an engine. She tapped into her 401K to pay for the repairs.
Joanne said she knows she shouldn’t have done that, but said she doesn’t have “money to spend for a car and I can’t afford a new car.”
The cashier’s check shows she paid in November. She still has not received her truck.
The shop’s owner, Charles Broadway, told Team 10 the problem was the truck’s computer. He said it would be ready in two weeks.
Team 10 spoke to Broadway Tuesday. Watch the video above for his response to the issue.
