SAN DIEGO -- A fight in the East Village early Friday left one man with stab wounds and his assailant sought by police.
The suspect pulled a knife and stabbed the victim in his chin, right shoulder and abdomen during an argument in the vicinity of 13th and K streets shortly after 2 a.m., according to San Diego police Officer Robert Heims. The suspect fled before police arrived.
Heims said paramedics took the victim to a hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Police described the suspect as Hispanic, roughly 5-foot-10, in his 30s, with long black hair pulled back in a ponytail, and a goatee. He was wearing a red shirt.
