VISTA, Calif. (KGTV) -- Two suspects were arrested Saturday morning after shooting at California Highway Patrol officers during a chase in Vista.

CHP says the chase began on East Vista Way at Old Taylor Street when officers noticed a car with no headlights blocking a lane.

During the chase, the passenger fired shots at officers forcing them to back off.

The passenger then fired several more shots at officers before abandoning the vehicle and fleeing, according to CHP.

CHP says they used a helicopter and ground units to search the area, leading to the arrest of both suspects.

No officers were injured and the incident remains under investigation, according to CHP.
