CHULA VISTA, Calif. – A man suspected of kicking a woman into unconsciousness during a quarrel at a South Bay motel last week was arrested.

Dorian Chavez Anguiano, 42, turned himself in to Chula Vista police at 8 a.m. Thursday. 10News learned Anguiano bailed out of jail on Friday and is scheduled to return to court on Aug. 18 for arraignment.

Surveillance video captured images of a man identified as Angiuano parking a car in a lot outside the motel shortly after 7 p.m. on Aug. 6, and apparently arguing with a female passenger inside the vehicle for several minutes, according to Chula Vista police, who did not identify the motel or its address.

The security camera footage then shows the couple getting out of the sedan and the man hurrying around to the passenger side, where he violently kicks the woman twice -- first in the back, knocking her to the ground, then in the head, after which she lies still.

At that point, the man struggles to pick up the limp victim and loads her into the car before getting back behind the wheel and driving off before police arrived.

Authorities subsequently identified the victim but did not release her name. Police also declined to disclose the extent of the victim's injuries or her relationship to the alleged assailant.

Anyone with information on the case should call the Chula Vista police Family Protection Unit at 619- 691-5192.
