The San Diego Humane Society is preparing to care for animals during El Niño weather events with a supply drive.
On Saturday, February 6, they will be collecting donations at the main San Diego Humane Society campus on Gaines street from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
10News meteorologist Megan Parry will be joining in on the fun to help get the Humane Society ready for any flooding and heavy rain.
Wish list items include tarps, reusable sand bags, pet carriers in various sizes, batteries (AA or AAA), flashlights, kitty litter, blankets, rain ponchos and rain boots for animals. They ask that all items are new or gently used only.
If you can't make it to the main campus, you can bring your donations to any of San Diego Humane Society's locations.
You can also have items shipped directly from Amazon with their Amazon Wish List.
