SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Brush fires burning in Tijuana spouted thick smoke into the air Saturday - visible from San Diego's South Bay.
The fire burning south the U.S.-Mexico border isn't a threat to the U.S., according to Cal Fire Capt. Jon Heggie. Tijuana has been dealing with the flames since Thursday and the blaze is reportedly moving toward Rosarito.
The sight put San Diegans on alert as a massive brush fire, the Lilac Fire, burned in San Diego's North County. The region's Red Flag warning has also been extended into Sunday.
