Sergio also continues to bring elevated surf to San Diego's coastline, increasing the danger of possible rip currents. A Beach Hazards Statement is in effect through 6 p.m. Friday, with waves expected to reach 3 to 8 feet, the great impact along southwest facing beaches in the North County.
Flooding in low-lying areas may be a concern for some areas and thunderstorms could develop.
