SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - In response to an unprecedented number of school threats in San Diego this year, a school safety summit is taking place on Friday.
At the summit, a revised school threats protocol is being announced and reviewed by more than 200 school and law enforcement leaders.
Discussions began at 8 a.m. at the Liberty Station Convention Center on Laning Road.

District Attorney Summer Stephan, San Diego County Sheriff Bill Gore and County Office of Education Superintendent Paul Gothold are just some of the community leaders in attendance.
