SAN DIEGO (KGTV) – Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a boy who was reported missing Wednesday from his school near Balboa Park.

According to San Diego police, 13-year-old Isaac Salgado was last seen at about 4:45 p.m. by staff members at the Prime Time after-school program at Roosevelt Middle School (3366 Park Blvd.).

The school is located just outside of Balboa Park, in close proximity to the San Diego Zoo.

While family members told police Isaac has never run away from home before, they do believe the boy may be with one of his friends.

Police said Isaac does not have any medical or developmental issues. Family members said he was not acting unusual prior to his disappearance.

Isaac is Hispanic, 4 feet 9 inches tall, and weighs 110 pounds. He has short brown hair and brown eyes.

The boy was last seen wearing khaki pants with tight blue jeans underneath, a dark-colored short-sleeve T-shirt and a maroon Roosevelt Middle School zippered jacket. Isaac was seen carrying a white plaid backpack, police said.

Anyone with information on the boy’s whereabouts is urged to contact police at 619-531-2000.
