SAN MARCOS, Calif (KGTV) – Three former drug addicts are sharing their experiences to help others overcome their addictions.

They've launched a new drug treatment program called “Immersive Recovery.”

Wesley Heim, one of the founders, said the drug treatment program last about four months, but people can stay longer until they feel comfortable to be on their own.

They have only been in operation for two months, so he says it's too early to evaluate their success rate.

Heim says the drug treatment program customizes to each person, teaching them life skills and setting goals to stay sober.

It also forces clients to get jobs or go back to school. It also offers to house them. He says the program is structured and supervised.

“I feel obligated to give back,” he said. He says his goal is to give people hope in overcoming the same challenges that he and his other partners lived through.
