SAN DIEGO — A man who was fatally shot on the side of westbound SR-94 near Euclid Avenue late Saturday night has been identified as 22-year-old Gabriel Gutierrez of San Diego.

Police said the driver of a white Camry pulled over onto the shoulder of freeway and an argument ensued between Gutierrez and men who had been walking on the side of the freeway. The victim was shot in the upper torso.
Gutierrez was rushed by ambulance to the hospital where he succumbed to his injury on Monday, December 6.
