SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Police are searching for the suspects responsible for spraying graffiti all over a church in Encanto overnight Sunday.
The graffiti was discovered Monday morning at the Church of Christ on the 6000 block of Division Street.
A member of the church says he’s shocked, exclaiming they’ve never had to deal with graffiti of this magnitude before.
The obscene graffiti was splattered across the entire back of the building as well as on several stairs.
“It’s impossible for me to hate someone that does this but I guess all of us are bothered by it that it does happen. What else can you do but hope it don’t happen again?” said Harold, a member of the church.
San Diego Police responded to the scene, a glove with blue spray paint was left behind at the church.
The church says its members will try to clean up the graffiti themselves.
