San Diegan to be honored as 'Military Hero of the Game' as Dodgers host Padres

The 1986 action film drama "Top Gun" will be shown 15 minutes after the conclusion of Saturday's Los Angeles Dodgers-San Diego Padres game at Dodger Stadium.

The Military Hero of the Game will be U.S. Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class Jesus Saucedo of San Diego, who joined the Navy in 2006 as an engineering aide for the Navy's construction force, the Seabees.

Saucedo became an underwater construction technician in Port Hueneme and has served two deployments as a dive technician in the Pacific.

In connection with Pups at the Park, there will be a pup parade on the warning track at approximately 3 p.m. and a "Best Show Dog" contest.

DJ Adam will provide musical entertainment in the right field plaza and a face painter and balloon artist will be in the left field plaza and Trip will provide music in the right field reserve area from 2-4 p.m.

Auto gates will open at 1:45 p.m. and stadium gates at 2:15 p.m., with the game set to start at 4:15 p.m.
