SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Record heat led Friday to transit delays on the San Diego Trolley and Sprinter trains.
A westbound Sprinter was cancelled by the North County Transit District at 4:30 p.m. The agency cited ongoing heat-related signal issues. Passengers were directed to take a later train.
The Metropolitan Transit System also reported mechanical problems and delays due to the heat. Trains were also running at a reduced speed east of Grossmont on Green and Orange Lines.
