After the memorial service for boxing legend Muhammad Ali, we showed Jason Dreas the 10News story about Muhammad Ali's visit to Penn Elementary, after he finished coaching his Little League game.
Jason was in the crowd of students in the school auditorium that day in 1987. "That's my 5th grade teacher right there. I could be right here."
It was almost surreal for him, looking back.
"I don't think I knew who Muhammad Ali was at the time or really understood what it meant to have him there, but all these years later, I look back and I think, wow, did that really happen? Was Muhammad Ali really at my school?”
Ali spoke to the kids and entertained them with magic tricks and they loved it.
"When he died recently it brought back memories and he really did come to my school, somebody so profound, somebody so, such an amazing person came to our school and did magic, it was pretty cool."
