Puppy viciously attacked at Escondido dog park

ESCONDIDO, Calif. (KGTV) – An Escondido couple says they will never take their puppy to Mayflower Dog Park again it was attacked by another dog Tuesday night

Chris Pohlman and “Bee” Hernandez says their five-month-old American Bully, Gotti, was playing with a black German Shepherd at the park. They say that dog’s owner wasn’t paying attention when her dog suddenly snapped at Gotti.

“It happened so fast,” Hernandez said.

Pohlman says he had to kick the other dog to get it off, Gotti. But before it gave their puppy horrible painful wounds, including a puncture wound at the top of his hands, a gash on the head and a tear inside his mouth that needed stitches.

Shocked and scared, they asked the other dog owner for her information.

“She said no,” Pohlman said, “and she started laughing and smirking.”

The couple says that added salt to their wounds.

“If it had been the other way around, I would have been super apologetic and been like I’m so sorry," Herandez said.

The couple called animal control after the incident and believed animal control officials got the woman’s information. They are thinking to take her to small claims court.
