HUNTINGTON BEACh, Calif. (KGTV) -- A portion of the Pacific Coast Highway in Orange County is closed due to rain dousing parts of Southern California Wednesday.
According to Caltrans, all north and southbound lanes of the highway are closed between Seapoint Street and Warner Avenue in Huntington Beach.
The roadway was shut down just before 1 p.m. Wednesday as flooding worsened.
“Please be safe and aware when driving today!” Caltrans tweeted while also sharing photos of the scene.
Photos appeared to show areas where water had washed debris onto the highway.
At this time, it’s unclear when the portion of the PCH will reopen as more rain is forecast for the area Thursday.
