SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Police were called to Scripps Mercy Hospital in Hillcrest Wednesday night after receiving reports of a man waving a machete around outside the building.
The incident was reported just after 7 p.m. at the hospital in the 4000 block of Fifth Avenue.
Due to the report and subsequent police search, hospital officials held off unloading any ambulances until the man was found. This was later called off after officers cleared the scene.
Because "no crime was committed" and the man was not located, police cleared the scene.
