Manhunt unfolds following pedestrian robbery in San Ysidro

SAN YSIDRO - Two people are in custody following a pedestrian robbery in a San Ysidro neighborhood Friday.

Police said there may be at least one other suspect not yet located.

SDPD said two suspects robbed a person near 210 Cottonwood Road shorty before 5 p.m. Officers said one of the suspects may be armed.

The suspects fled on foot, and were believed to have hopped onto a nearby MTS trolley. Police said stopped a trolley at the Palm Ave. stop on MTS' Blue Line to search for the suspects. MTS Trolley service did not appear impacted by the search.

Shortly after 5 p.m., police had placed two people in custody. It was not immediately clear if police had placed them under arrest.
