Posted

San Diego police sought Thursday a man who robbed a 24-hour taco shop in La Jolla at gunpoint.

The suspect ordered a burrito at Rigoberto's on La Jolla Boulevard shortly after 6 p.m. Wednesday but pulled out a silver handgun as the employee opened the cash register to collect payment, San Diego police Officer Robert
Heims said.

He demanded money and the employee responded by placing the cash register drawer on a table. Heims said the robber grabbed an unknown amount and ran off.

Police described the suspect as white and in his mid-20s to mid-30s. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a white logo on the front and lettering on the back, black knee-length shorts and white socks.
