SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A pilot in a small plane made a hard landing Monday at Montgomery Field in Kearny Mesa.
The pilot reported the emergency about 2:30 p.m. above the central San Diego airport at 3750 John J. Montgomery Dr.
A City of San Diego communications officer reported the plane was having trouble with its landing gear.
Air traffic controllers ordered the pilot to circle the airport until firefighters could respond to the scene. The plane landed safely half an hour later.
There was no word on how many people were on board. No injuries were reported.
