SAN MARCOS, Calif. (KGTV) -- Petco Tuesday held a grand opening for a new concept store called PetCoach, aimed at reinventing the pet store as consumers know it.
The new style of store includes all the pet services possibly imaginable, including grooming, training, veterinary care, nutrition consultations and day care.
The new model brings Petco’s previously online-only PetCoach to life and all in one place.
The store also has interactive elements that allows pet parents to create custom pet profiles and book in-store service appointments.
Those who visit the store can even have their dogs walked. And that’s not all. The store also offers vet house calls.
"The new PetCoach location serves as an innovation lab where we can test and learn more about what pet parents want and need to live their best lives with their pets," said Petco EVP, Strategic Innovation & Digital Experience Brock Weatherup. "The concept allows us to continue creating new, differentiated and personalized pet care experiences, all backed by our extensive veterinary expertise and support."
