A 30-year-old man was stabbed and hit with a baseball bat in San Diego's Stockton neighborhood Wednesday night when he confronted three taggers scrawling graffiti, police said.
The three male suspects were tagging a home about 5:15 p.m. in the area of 2900 K Street when the victim confronted them, San Diego police Officer Robert Heims said.
"A fight began and the victim was stabbed in the abdomen once and hit with a baseball bat," Heims said. "The suspects fled the scene in a dark colored car northbound on 30th Street."
The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, Heims said.
Detailed descriptions of the suspects were not immediately available.
