Pair suspected in Pacific Beach home invasion robbery arrested

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A woman suspected in a Pacific Beach home invasion was arrested after she allegedly stole a police SUV and then drove it into the water off Fiesta Island.

San Diego police said a man and woman entered a home in the 2100 block of Pacific Beach Drive at around 9:30 p.m. Thursday and confronted a female resident inside. The suspects demanded the resident's property, and police said they fled with a computer and phone.

The victim reported the female suspect brandished a knife during the incident.

Officers arrived at the scene and spotted the male suspect, arresting him after a brief foot chase. 10News learned the female suspect drove off in an SDPD SUV during her cohort's arrest.

Police eventually tracked down the SUV in the water off Fiesta Island, but the woman was not inside.

10News learned the female suspect flagged down a driver and asked for a ride. Police stopped the vehicle and arrested the woman after determining she matched the description of a suspect in the home invasion.
