About 1,421 San Diego Gas & Electric Co. customers in Rancho Penasquitos, Rancho Bernardo and San Pasqual lost electric service in an outage that began shortly after 2 p.m. Friday, the utility said.
SDG&E reported it was assessing the cause, and gave a preliminary estimate of a 5 p.m. repair target.
