SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Each year, thousands of students move out of the dorms at UCSD, leaving behind lots of items they were unable to take home, or simply don’t want anymore.
Monday, a crew of workers from Disabled America Veterans collected the items that ultimately filled a fleet of trucks.
The leftover contents included furniture, dishes, clothes, books and even things like bikes. The organization will then split all the items up before sending them to their stores to be sold.
The idea to begin collecting and reselling the items started at SDSU before spreading to UCSD.
