North County non-profit uses horses to help kids with special needs

SAN MARCOS, Calif. (KGTV) -- A non-profit named "Teri" in San Diego's north county is using horses to help children and adults with special needs. 

The program is run out of a dedicated facility in San Marcos where students of all ages come to take part in equine therapy. 

Teri was founded back in 1980 and has since grown tremendously, now serving more than 800 people at any given time through a number of different programs. 

The organization is looking to expand it's San Marcos location by 2020 and trying to reach a goal of raising $30 million.
