SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Nordstrom is opening its newest store at the Westfield UTC Mall on Thursday.

10News got a sneak peak Monday morning.  The 145,000 square foot store is larger and brighter than its predecessor and has more windows.

Among the highlights, the two story building features 8 designer boutiques, a full-service restaurant and bar.

“Being able to come up here and have a craft cocktail and a bite to eat, it makes the experience more enjoyable,” said Michael Toms, Nordstrom’s Division Restaurant Manager.

Customers can also reserve clothing online and then try it on in the store.

There's even a so-called “Girlfriend Dressing Room,” where women can try on outfits in the same area.

“As a company, we’ve worked really really hard to bridge the convenience of online shopping with the personal experience,” said Nordstrom Spokesman John Bailey.

Its fresh look and  unique shopping experience Nordstrom hopes will give them the edge among San Diego shoppers.

Doors open Thursday at 10 a.m.

The store is holding a ‘beauty bash’ starting at 8 a.m.

More than 100 beauty experts will be offering free skin care consultations and beauty lessons.
