HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (CNS) - A man was arrested on suspicion of felony vandalism for allegedly spray-painting swastikas on President Donald Trump's star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, a police officer said Monday.
The paint has been cleaned off from Trump's star, located on Hollywood Boulevard near Highland Avenue, said Officer Drake Madison of the Los Angeles Police Department's Media Relations Section.
A witness spotted the suspect about 5:50 p.m. Sunday spray-painting the star and followed him until the arrival of police, Madison said.
A man has been seen at Trump's star twice, both times bending down, drawing swastikas and then taking off, TMZ.com reported, adding that the suspect -- Jose Ortega -- allegedly admitted to both taggings.
